WHO I AM
I have been helping students succeed on the Florida Bar Exam since 2003. I loved law school, enjoyed legal writing, and performed well on the bar exam, but I also saw how overwhelming and confusing the process was for many students. I wanted to make bar preparation clearer, more structured, and far less stressful. That goal has shaped my entire career.
I served as Assistant Dean of Academic Success and Bar Preparation at Barry University School of Law from 2004 to 2013. During those years, I worked directly with students, faculty, and administration, taught bar preparation courses, reviewed thousands of essays, and developed programs to help students understand how the exam is actually tested.
After leaving Barry, I founded The Florida Bar Coach, where I focus exclusively on Florida Bar Exam preparation. I teach students how to study efficiently, how to write clearly, and how to approach the exam with confidence and structure. My coaching is practical, strategic, and Florida‑specific.
Over time, my love for legal writing and all things law school naturally expanded into Law School Admissions Consulting. I enjoy helping applicants tell their stories clearly, develop strong personal statements, and present competitive applications. My background as Assistant Dean gives me insight into how admissions committees think and what they look for.
Both sides of my work share the same foundation: clarity, structure, and individualized guidance.
When I am not coaching or working with admissions clients, I love being active, running ultramarathons, exploring with my dog Lucky, and spending time with my family. These things keep me grounded, balanced, and energized for the work I love.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
My approach is simple: students do not need more information. They need structure, accountability, and a clear plan. I teach students how to spot issues, how to organize their answers, how to memorize rules effectively, and how to build consistent study habits.
I focus on practical strategies rather than academic theory. Everything I teach is grounded in how the Florida Board of Bar Examiners actually tests the exam.
My goal is to make the process easier, more predictable, and far less overwhelming.
